Patience and perseverance paid off for the beneficiary of December 2014’s Chamber Business of the Month Award.  Marci Aston, owner of and stylist at Classic Beauty & Barber achieved just that.  And it is an award that came after months of nominations by voting Chamber of Commerce members.

Ms. Aston, whose two-year-old barber and beauty salon is nestled in the Moore Business Complex at 875 East 100 North, finally received the award last week. Her business was spotlighted for as Business of the Month at both at the December 3 Payson City Council meeting and in her shop a day later, during a celebration attended by family, friends, and the business community.

Though it was a long time coming, the fact that the business had been nominated as frequently as it had--five times, according to Colin Logue, Payson Chamber of Commerce President, speaking at the December 4 gathering in her shop--shows the positive effect Ms. Aston has had in Payson City.

Aside from running her small business, she plays an active role in events geared at driving traffic into the local business community, both as coordinator and participant, overseeing many of the Payson Chamber of Commerce activities.
