RENEE MILLER
Lifelong Goshen resident Vida Renee Johnson Miller died March 15, 2016. She was bornSeptember 10, 1930, descended from Tennessee mountain folk and a Mormon pioneer who came west with the first company. Raised by her widowed mother in a transplanted miner’s shack, she moved through the block to a house she built and shared with Howard, the man she married in 1948—those homes being the only two she ever lived in. She is preceded in death by her father, John Blaine Johnson, and mother, Mary LucileStewart Finch Johnson; husband, Howard; sister Billie Horton and brother Ted Johnson; half-sisters Audra Calderwood, Winona MacDonald, and LaVern Kirk, and half-brothers Lynn Stewart Finch and Gail Finch. Renee is survived by sons Zebbie (Julie) and Rodney (Susan), daughters Pamela (Wayne) Gasser and Denise Warren, 14 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held March 22 at 10:00 a.m. at the LDS chapel in Goshen. Friends may visit at the church from 9:00 a.m. the day of service, and Monday evening, March 21, from 6:00 to 8:00 at Brown Family Mortuary in Santaquin. Renee will be interred next toHoward at the Goshen cemetery.
