Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose.  All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” ~ Helen Keller

Forthcoming funeral services are planned for the following friends from our community. Complete versions of these obituaries may also be found in The Payson Chronicle.

JULIE STEVENSON
Julie Cheever Stevenson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away at home on Monday,
February 26, 2018.  She suffered from multiple health problems for a number of years.

Julie was born October 28, 1949 in Payson, Utah.  She was the daughter of George A. Cheever Jr. and Marion
Edith Clark.  She was the second of six children, which included two sets of twins younger than her.

Julie attended schools in Payson, UT, and graduated from Payson High School in 1967.  She attended Dixie
College, Snow College, and graduated from Brigham Young University just prior to her marriage.

She met the love of her life, L. Dee Stevenson, and they were married on October 6, 1971.  They were later
sealed for time and eternity in the Manti Temple.

While rearing her young family, she was a stay-at-home mom.  She always felt it was important to be at home
while raising her family.  Being a wife and mother were her greatest joys in life.

Julie was a skilled seamstress.  She made many beautiful quilts for friends and family.  Her favorite church calling
was being a cub scout leader and serving in the primary.

She was very proud of her children, and being a grandmother was one of the highlights of her life.  She loved
spending time with each one of them, and in return, they loved her very much.

She is survived by her husband and children: Andrea Eliason (Jeff), Lehi, UT; Clark Stevenson, Payson, UT; Patrick
Stevenson (Julie), Raleigh, NC; Corrie Stevenson, Payson, UT; Spencer Stevenson (Teresa), Payson, UT; seven
grandchildren: Abbey and Emrey Eliason; Ethan, Yates and Mercedes Stevenson; Zoe and Peyton Stevenson.

Cheever (Kelley); Bruce Cheever (Michelle); and Grant Cheever.
