Utah Representative Marc Roberts (pictured, standing) explained Ranked Choice Voting to residents attending last night’s Meet the Payson City Council Candidates event in the City Center Banquet Hall. The event, which introduced municipal candidates to their constituents as well as the voting method they will use, was the first of two such gatherings hosted by the Payson and Santaquin Area Chamber of Commerce. Voters will have the chance to meet the Payson Council candidates again in this venue in October.
The candidates seeking three four-year Payson City Council seats are Linda Carter, Cary Kenneth Stockwell, Doug Welton, Brian V. Hulet, and Scott Pinkham. Michael Hardy has withdrawn from the race.
