Payson Historical Society: Yesterday and Today -- 1850-1950

A picture of Payson Main Street in 1910 (above) taken at what is today 100 South and Main.  While it offers a starkly different vision of transportation, power, street surface, and fashion, a few characteristics of the historic Payson Main Street remain today.  Another photograph taken at this same intersection in 1950 can be found in this week's edition of The Payson Chronicle, along with an accompanying article written by L. Dee Stevenson of the Payson Historical Society (page 7).
