Growth In Payson

According to government projections, Payson is expected to grow by an additional 48,000 residents by 2050. A steering committee has been working to come up with a general plan that will take into consideration all the demands that are anticipated to come with this growth.
The committee met yesterday in the Payson City Council Chambers for the final in a series of meetings leading up to a public open house planned for Thursday, November 8. Pictured here is Assistant Payson City Planner Daniel Jensen (standing, left) chatting with City Planner Jill Spencer and Kirk Beecher, Vice Chair of the Payson Planning Commission, at the end of yesterday’s meeting.
The open house, which promises to “explore options for Payson’s future,” will take place in the City Center Banquet Hall (south doors), located at 439 West Utah Avenue, Payson.
