Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

Max Blaine Reece

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, Max Blaine Reece, age 79 of Payson passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 23, 2016.

He was born October 29, 1937 at Payson, Utah to Robert Clark and Charlotte Electa Koyle Reece.

He married Gayle Erickson, September 20, 1957 in the Manti LDS Temple.

Max enjoyed golfing. During his years of golfing he managed to get 7 holes in one. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a general contractor for 37 years and owned and operated RD&R Construction with his brother Lynn and  Jack Daniels. He worked for The Daily Herald after retirement for 13 years. Max loved his family and especially his great-grandchildren.

Survivors include: his wife, Gayle, Payson; children, Lila Kay (Steve) Haws, Payson;  Maxine Bush, Clearfield; Stephen Blaine Reece, Payson; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Elden and Lynn Reece; Nona Tervort and Leora Bradshaw.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 3, 2016, 11:00 a.m. in the Payson First Ward, 225 South 400 East, where friends may call 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
