Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

"Sunny" Amarante Maestas


“SUNNY” AMARANTE MAESTAS, 68, a resident of Medanales, New Mexico, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019.

Amarante was preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Maestas and daughter, Bobbie Jo Barnett.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Maestas of Medanales; father, Joe Maestas of Payson, UT; sisters, Margaret (Ron)
Cornelius of Kaysville, UT, Cordy (Don) Cornelius of Lindon, UT, and Lorraine (Marc) Lowham  of Salem, UT; close cousin
almost like a brother, Allen Sisneros (Nancy) and their children, Allen Jr., Amanda (Rocky) Lopez; other close cousins Isaac
Maestas, Roy Maestas (Marsha), and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.

Memorial mass will be held on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 12 p.m. noon at the San Andres Catholic Church, 315 East 100 North,
Payson. A rosary will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 6-6:30 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson.
A visitation will follow the rosary from 6:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Payson City Cemetery.
