Last week’s Chamber of Commerce Christmas Party brought together members of the Payson business community for an afternoon of celebration.  Lunch, storytelling, and good conversation were shared at the Nexeo building, December 11.  Saving the best for last, Chamber members drew numbers in a gift-exchange game before returning to their offices and storefronts throughout town.

Santaquin Opens Season With Light Parade

The Light Parade would not have been complete without the Santaquin Royalty among the lineup.  Lights were strewn for the occasion all across the lovely float.  Pictured not long before the parade began are (left-right) Miss Santaquin Kristen Robbins and the Little Buck-a-Roo Queen Katelyn Robbins.
Lights flashing and siren calling, a Santaquin Fire Department engine led the parade.  Pictured near the fire engine as darkness fell and the parade was set to begin are Corey Preston (left) and son, Derek Preston (seated, center), and Nick Miller (right), owner of M&M Landscaping and active Santaquin Chamber of Commerce leader.
Businesses and communities were represented as they joined in the Santaquin Chamber Light Parade.  Merit Preparatory School students and faculty were among them.
The season opened bright on Saturday night, as the Santaquin Chamber of Commerce Christmas Light Parade strolled through town.  Noted as the Chamber’s biggest to date, this season’s lineup featured floats decked with lighting and delightful Christmas decor.  Strolling westward, from Fourth East, along First South, the parade concluded at Centennial Park, after which participants and the public were treated to hot chocolate, doughnuts, and a visit from St. Nick at the Santaquin Elementary School.
