Time To Recognize a Payson City Employee

It is that time of year again to recognize an outstanding city employee for the Ted Bates Award. For those who are not familiar with this award, it is given to a city employee who has been nominated by the people of Payson. The McMullin family has been giving the award for 34 years and appreciates your.

The person who receives the award is given a plaque and money. The monies are earned from stocks given to Payson City years ago by Dave McMullin (in memoriam). Once an employee has received this award, they are no longer eligible.

There are many city employees who you must agree are in need of and deserve recognition. Let them know how much they are appreciated for the many things they do by nominating them. Simply write their name on a card and send it to or drop it by the city office. You may also write it on the back of your city bill. There is a box at the cashier’s desk to drop your nominatee card in. The deadline is December 18, 2013.
