Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Service

Sherry Hunt

Sherry Ann Cornwell Hunt, 66, passed away January 2, 2020 in Provo, Utah.  She was born October 14, 1953 in Provo to Clinton Eugene and Melba Heath Cornwell. She married Samuel Thomas Hunt August 19, 1972 in Orem, Utah.
Sherry was very active in her community and had many friends that she loved spending time with playing games. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved genealogy. She helped translate records from French to English for ward members.
She was CEO and President of Sherry’s welding and a member of the White Lake Riding Club. She enjoyed bowling, ceramics, and fishing and hunting at Fish Lake where she celebrated her wedding anniversary every year.
She served on the Board of Adjustments for Genola City for 20 years. Sam and Sherry were also honored as Grand Marshalls of the parade for the Genola City celebration.
Her greatest joy was her family and she was proud of each of them.
She is survived by her husband, Sam; sons Samuel Dean Hunt (Bunny), Todd Hunt (Deena); daughter Andrea G. Sames (Steven); 9 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 10:00 am at the Genola LDS Church, 50 No. Main Street. A viewing will be held Monday, January 6th from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Brown Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East, Santaquin, and Tuesday at the church from 9:00 to 9:45 am prior to services. Interment, Genola Cemetery.
