Hitman Monster Truck Rides, 10 AM - Dusk, in the field south of the Payson Aquatic Center. Cost is $5 per ride (16 years and younger) and $10 a ride (17 and up)

Mt. Nebo Marathon and Half Marathon: Starts at 6:30 AM, finishes at 8 AM
Bill Pike Memorial Men’s Softball Tournament, all day at the Payson Softball Fields, located at 955 S Main Street.  For registration and cost contact Payson Recreation at 801-465-6031. Free to watch.
Basketball Tournament, 11th-12th Grade Boys and Girls, 9 AM
Miss Payson’s Golden Medal Mile, 8 AM. Free to participate. Takes place at the Dry Creek Trail, located at 1250 South Main.
Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, 8 AM, Memorial Park, 200 South Main Street. Cost is free.  Event is sponsored by the Interfaith Council.
Firefighters’ Open House, 9 AM - 12 pm, at the Payson Fire Station, located at 100 East 100 South, Payson. Cost is free.
Children’s Parade, 9 AM line-up; procession begins at 9:30 AM. Cost is free.  Starts at north side of Park View Elementary School, south of Memorial Park.

Public viewing of Flower and Art Show/Biggest Onion at the Peteetneet
Fireside, 6:30 PM, featuring Utah Lt. Governor Spencer J. Cox as this year’s inspirational speaker.  Free to attend, the event will take place at the LDS Stake Center on 600 East, Payson.
Payson Band Concert, 8 PM, at Memorial Park, 200 South Main, Payson.

Monday, September 5
5K and 10K Races, 7 AM
Chorale Breakfast, 7-9 AM, Memorial Park, 200 South Main, Payson. Cost is $7 per adult and $5 per child. Family of six: $30
Veterans of Foreign Wars present Flag Raising Ceremony, 8 AM, at Memorial Park.
Friends of the Payson Library Used Book Sale, 9 AM - 2 PM, at the Payson Library on Historic Main Street and the Breezeway.  Books on sale for $1 a hardback and .50 a paperback.
Grand Parade, 10 AM, with procession running northward along Main Street, Payson.
