Keith Joe Buys
"Skeeter" Keith Joe Buys has left for his final fishing and drinking trip on July 8, 2017. Skeeter was born on July 1, 1940 to Ray and Marie Patten Buys, along with his twin brother Kenneth Buys.
He attended school in Payson, Utah. While in Jr. High and High School, he lettered in track, receiving many awards and set state records. He graduated Payson High School in 1958. Keith served as a guard in the military. Keith worked at Geneva Steel as a pipe fitter since he was 17 years old till he retired at age 52.
Keith married Charline Tayler, Jackie Strong, and has been married to his wife Lynnette Gabbitas Buys for 43 years.
Skeeter loved to fish, hunt, fight, and horse races. He loved yard work and had such pride in his beautiful yard. Most of all he loved to hang out with family and friends on the deck in his yard.
Survived by his wife Lynnette, children; Nikki (Troy) Young, Troy Buys, Tammy (Richard) Cox, step-children; Becky (Barry) Clark, Debbie Nielson, Doug (Christie) Tanner, 28 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Jerry, Steve "Biz", Kenneth, and Linda Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Gordon Buys and Karen Buys, children; Cindy Pace, Scott Buys, Jackie Tanner, son-in-law Casey Nielson, and great granddaughter Lexy Sanchez.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the Spring Creek Ward, 1080 South 930 West, Payson, Utah. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be at the Payson City Cemetery.
