Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

Kathryn Ann Olson Patten


Kathryn Ann Olson Patten, age 84, passed away March 14, 2019 in Payson, Utah, at the Beehive
Home Assisted Living Center. She was born June 29, 1934 in Santaquin, Utah, to Roy Victor and
Vera Wilson Olson.

Mom was a very special lady. She married Don E. Patten on September 11, 1952 in the Manti,
Utah Temple. They started a lifelong journey beginning in Utah then Southern, California on to Dallas
Texas Temple Mission, and retiring in Santaquin. Mom enjoyed temple work in Dallas, Los Angeles,
Provo and many temples far and wide.

She was a medical assistant in Southern California for 20 plus years and was truly dedicated to her
profession. She and dad loved to travel, play cards and go to movies. She had unconditional love for
her family. You will be missed and always loved.

Kathryn is survived by her children Cynthia Patten (Payson), Kelly and Paulette Patten (Springville),
Coreen and Kelly Anderson (Annabella), and Kasey Patten (Spanish Fork); 10 unique grandchildren
and 29 awesome great-grandchildren; brother Tom and Joy Olson, sister-in-law Janice Patten, and
many nieces, nephews and friends, especially The Birthday Club Friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Vera Olson, husband Don Patten, brother and
sister-in-law Jack and Nola Rae Olson, brother-in-law Duane Patten.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 18, 2019, at the Page Ward in Payson, Utah, 711 South
600 East at 11:00 am. A viewing will be held Sunday March 17, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Brown
Family Mortuary, 66 South 300 East Santaquin, and also from 9:30-10:30 am at the church Monday.
Interment will follow at Santaquin City Cemetery.
