Miss Salem Scholarship Pageant Set for May 26th


Rachel Fitzgerald, Miss Salem 2011, will hand her crown to a new queen Saturday evening.

The Miss Salem Scholarship Pageant will take place at Salem Hills High School auditorium on Saturday May 26, 2010, beginning at 7 p.m.   Miss Salem 2011, Rachel Fitzgerald, will be crowning the new 2012 Miss Salem that evening.  Ten young women are competing this year to represent Salem at local events and parades throughout Utah.

With the pageant being set for Memorial Day weekend, this year’s contestants will be paying tribute to our local veteran’s with our “Hometown Heroes” pageant theme.

Rachel Fitzgerald has enjoyed her year representing Salem and has represented the city well.  She has instilled service throughout the community through her service platform “Serving for Change – Anyone Can Be Great.”  If you are interested in service projects, you can find opportunities to help others on Rachel’s website,  www.servingforchange.org.  Rachel will be competing for the title of Miss Utah, June 12-18 at the Capital Theater.  Tickets can be purchased at 1-801-355-ARTS.
