Duane and Pat Curtis's Pristine Place a Perfect Pick for Yard of Week

Duane and Pat's pristine Payson yard.

Picturesque and pristine, Duane and Pat Curtis's corner Payson lot has earned the title Yard of the Week. Or, more so, the yard's caretakers.

Accolades for its beauty were obvious in its selection. But most prominent were the kudos to the never-ending effort which Duane, especially, takes create and sustain the splendid site.  With temperatures high and dry, this year's upkeep has been particularly challenging, he said.  But he has been able to keep up with all it takes to maintain a lawn that covers much of the third-acre lot, along with the robust vegetable garden, flowers, shrubs, and trees that range from pine and evergreen to a large California redwood planted out back.

Duane may attribute at least some of the work he does as “just puttering around.” But the description is modest when compared with the result. Drive by this week and see for yourself.

A pair of well loved dogs, Taya and Misty wait eagerly for Duane and Pat to come in from the yard.
