Peter Pan Opens August 27

L to R: Michael (Carter Maurin), Wendy (Mariah Webber), and John (Talon Maurin)

As Peter Pan and the Lost Boys have been longing for a Mother, Wendy, played by Mariah Webber, and her brothers John, Talon Maurin, and Michael, Carter Maurin, have just arrived in Never Never Land!

Mariah is no stranger to Payson Community Theater, having performed in Wizard of Oz, and Xanadu.  She is a sophomore at Payson High School.

The role of Wendy was originally played in 1985 by Becky Box Provstgaard.   In a nostalgic setting, she will be appearing as Wendy (2) many years later, with children of her own.

Talon and Carter Maurin are first timers with Payson Community Theater for this production and will be joining in this performance with their sisters, Lucy and Miranda, and their Mother Debbie, who are all three participating as Native Americans.  Debbie is also no stranger to the theater in Payson where she was in Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.  Making theater a family affair, they were all in Spanish Fork’s production of Tom Sawyer last year, as well as previous school productions.

Let the adventures begin!   You will want to come and share them with this exciting cast of characters.

Peter Pan opens at Payson High School (1050 S. Main St.) on August 27-29, September 1-5 and closes on September 7.  There is a matinee on September 5, at 3:00 p.m.

Tickets are available online at: paysoncommunitytheater.com.   They can also be purchased from NAPA Auto Parts, 190 E. 100 N., Payson, or at the door prior to the show.
