Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

Elaine Rodgers Guest
Elaine Rodgers Guest, born April 24, 1941, of Payson,  Utah passed away on Tuesday, January 17,2017 after a seven year battle with Alzheimer.

Elaine was born in Payson, Utah and is the daughter of George Roy Rodgers and Phyllis Ann Livingston Rodgers of Payson, Utah. She is the second oldest of 4 children; Shirleen (John) Kinnear, Lee Rodgers, and Charles Rodgers.

Elaine attended Payson High School, BYU and the Pasadena Playhouse where she was active and greatly succeeded in Art, Music and Drama.

Elaine married Milton DuBose Guest on February 21, 1969 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on August 8,1974. They were both very active in the LDS church, and were Temple Ordinance workers for 6 years in the Provo, Utah Temple. 

Elaine worked for NuSkin International for 10 years, where she loved creating the  'Rewards Program' and working directly with distributors around the world. Elaine was a piano and singing teacher and creator of the VIP Children's Singing Group. She was a valued and loved member and actress of Payson's own PCT and was in several musicals and plays including Frontier, My Fair Lady, Mame, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Music Man, Annie, Steel Magnolias, Harvey and The Foreigner. She was also an actress with the Provo Theatre Company where she was in Nunsense and Happy Valley. Elaine was also a founding member of the Payson Children's Theatre group; The Playmakers.

Elaine is survived and deeply loved by  her husband of 48 years, Milton DuBose Guest, three daughters; Megan (Jason) Parker, Danielle (Steven) Harrison, Istrea Ann Guest , and her 7 grandchildren; Michael, Zachary, William, Connor, and Tyler Harrison, Emma and Jack Parker, and her two beloved dogs Cookie and Chip.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11 a.m.  at the LDS Chapel  located at 1080 South 930 West, Payson. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 9:30-10:45 a.m.  prior to funeral.
