Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

“What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” ~ Helen Keller

Forthcoming funeral services are planned for the following friends from our community. Complete versions of these obituaries may be found in The Payson Chronicle and on our website at paysonchronicle.com.

Robert Charles Moore

Our dear Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather passed away the morning of January 2, 2017. Robert Charles Moore, 85, was born October 29, 1931 to Neil McGregor Moore and Mary Agnas Atkinson in Bingham Canyon, Utah.  He graduated from Bingham High School where he played on the baseball team. He married Karen Smith on July 15, 1963 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

Bob worked for and retired from Kennecott Copper after over 40 years as a foreman. He was blessed with 3 children and made his home in Sandy for 40 years. Bob was a member of the LDS church where he held several callings including working in the Jordan River Temple and served a mission. Karen and Bob then moved to Payson. He enjoyed golfing, photography, helping his children, and the outdoors while going walking or on car rides.

He is survived by his wife Karen, his children Janeen (Eric) Dean, Douglas (Julie) Moore, Leslie (Glen) Jensen, his grandchildren Jordan, Bryce, Emri, Michael, Kaylee, Shelese, Dereck, Brooke, Dawson, Levi, Megan, Parker, and one great grandchild Swayzie.
We would like to thank the staff of Seasons of Santaquin as well as the doctors and nurses at Mountain View Hospital in Payson, UT for the excellent care that they provided to him.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State St., Midvale, with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
