Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

Forthcoming funeral services are planned for the following friends from our community. Complete versions of these obituaries may also be found in The Payson Chronicle.

RANDY LEE KELSEY
Randy Lee Kelsey, 70, of Payson, Utah, passed away on August 17, 2019 in his home with his wife by his side.
Randy was born on March 5, 1949 in Spanish Fork, Utah to Arthur Franklin Kelsey and Myrtle Louise Skinner
Kelsey.

He married Marette Diamond on September 15, 1967 in Mapleton, Utah. Marette passed away on February 14,
1999. He later married Diane D Johnson on June 21, 2000 in Payson, Utah.

Randy worked at Pacific States Steel and in other construction trades throughout his life. His main occupation for
47 years was a sheep shearer, he was one of the industry’s most sought after shearers, during the majority of that
time he owned his own business.

He loved woodworking and tinkering with anything he could find. He was a talented mechanic, who could fix anything.
Randy enjoyed fishing, camping, family gatherings, old country music, going to coffee, afternoon naps, telling jokes to
brighten up someone’s day, as well as talking with friends and neighbors.

Randy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Randy is survived by his wife Diane Johnson, his children Randy Brad Kelsey, Tracy Jo Pike (Brian), and Jody Lynn
Cozzens, 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brothers DeVere Kelsey (Donna), Ken Kelsey (Kathy), Gary Kelsey
(Lori), as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Marette Diamond, son Bryan Lee Kelsey, 2 brothers, and 3
sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the West Mountain 4th Ward, 5237 West
10400 South, Payson, Utah. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral
Home, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah. A visitation will also be held prior to service from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the
church. Interment will be at the Payson City Cemetery.
