Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Service

Thelma Pearl Gilson
Thelma Pearl Topham Gilson peacefully passed away Saturday 21, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Santaquin, Utah on August 3, 1926 to Melvin F Topham and Pearl Sybil Garfield Topham. She was happily married to Donald S. Gilson on February 28, 1946 at the Topham family home in Santaquin, Ut.   They had 3 boys whom she adored.

Her homes in Ogden, Orem, California and Santaquin shined under her loving care. Some of her most cherished memories included living abroad in France.

She had many talents and used them to bless many lives. She was an avid swimmer and enjoyed teaching classes for many years. She had a flare for interior design especially floral arranging. Through her gift of gab she made an instant connection with everyone she met.  She was loyal, caring, humorous and generous her entire life.  She dearly loved her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Donald S Gilson, her son’s Dirk (Linda) and Bret (Penny), 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Wanda Sessions (Les), Fern Byard (Rex), Nelda LeBaron (Wendell ), Zelda Goudy (Lynn), Maurine Ross (LaVon Jr), Orrel  (Nellie) and Ned (Gloria), her son Don T Gilson and grandson Eric Chandler Gilson.

A memorial service will be held at the Santaquin Second Ward church (250 S 580 E) on January 11, 2019, 1:00pm.  Interment will be in the Santaquin Cemetery.
