Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

Forthcoming funeral services are planned for the following friends from our community. Complete versions of these obituaries may also be found in The Payson Chronicle.
Scott Lynn Draper
February 26, 1954 – October 7, 2018

Scott Lynn Draper, age 64, passed away on October 7, 2018 in Provo, Utah.  

He was born February 26, 1954 in Payson, Utah to Wendell (Dutch) and Mary Lou (McClellan) Draper.

Scott was educated in Payson and graduated from Payson High in 1972.  He then went to Utah Technical College in Provo where he completed the welding program.

Scott had some physical challenges in his life and he faced them with determination and with his pleasant personality. He was a friend to all and he had many friends of all ages.
Scott loved horses and horse racing. He began spending the winters in Phoenix with his parents in January 1984, where he made many lifelong friends.

He was an active and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and he appreciated the care his ward members gave him both in Payson and Phoenix.
Survivors include: his brother, James Craig (Annette) Draper, Payson; Sandra (Reid) Nelson, Salem; and many nieces and nephews.

His family would like to thank the employees at Mountain View Hospital ICU and UVRMC  ICU for their kindness in caring for Scott.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Payson South Stake Center, 711 South 600 East, Payson.  A visitation will be held Friday evening, October 12, 6-8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary 587 South 100 West, Payson, and at the church Saturday 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Burial will be in the Payson Cemetery.
