Behind The Wheel

Candy and gum packages spell out sentiments shared by residents who are grateful for the difficult and necessary work of the local fire and rescue crew.  Veteran Payson firefighter Stan Spencer is pictured seated behind the edible card assembled carefully by hand on poster paper. Meanwhile, the 2018 Payson Fire and Rescue coloring contest winners, students from five Payson elementary schools, enjoyed lunch and a discussion with firefighters in an adjacent gathering hall inside the Payson Fire Station, October 10.  The students were transported safely from their schools to the station at 45 East 100 South that day, then back to their classrooms after in both a fire engine and ambulance. Mr Spencer was among the drivers behind the wheel. Find more on this story in this week’s print edition of The Payson Chronicle.
