Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

Forthcoming funeral services are planned for the following friends from our community. Complete versions of these obituaries may also be found in The Payson Chronicle.


PEGGY BIRD


Peggy Joy Dockstader Bird, loving mother, aunt, grandmother and sister, passed away on June 4, 2019 in Springville, Utah.  Peggy was born March 16, 1948 in Payson, Utah to Verl Eugene and Lenereaux Holman Dockstader. She grew up in Payson and was a graduate of Payson High School.
Peggy worked and retired as a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. She loved country music, sewing, camping, and going for drives. She was an amazing cook and loved making her signature toffee as well as many other dishes for family and friends. Her family was her greatest joy.  She had a true heart of gold. 
She is survived by her children, Troy Bird; Julie (Mark) Crandall; Trent (Jennifer) Bird; Jason (Casandra) Bird; a special niece, Cindy Forbush; 25 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, Douglas Dockstader (Carol), and Drew Dockstader (Ann) and a sister, Esther Eden. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Twila Diamond. 
Memorial services were held Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Walker Funeral Home, in Payson, Utah.

The family would like to thank everyone that was able to attend her service as well as those who were unable to, we appreciate the love and support of everyone.  She was a special lady that will be missed by all that knew her.
