Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

AUSTIN STAHELI

Austin Staheli, of Santaquin, Utah passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on January 7, 2016 at the age of 72.  Born to Dean and Vera Staheli, in Long Beach, California, Austin was raised in Payson, Utah. He served an LDS mission in Switzerland and attended Brigham Young University.  At BYU,   he met and married the love of his life, Linda Fok. We ask you to join us in celebrating the life of Austin Staheli. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 587 South 100 West in Payson. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home, or on Thursday from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. at the Funeral Home prior to services. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery.

ERMA TAYLOR GARDNER

Erma Taylor Gardner, age 89, beloved wife, mother, daughter, grandma, grandma “great”, gram, sister, aunt and friend passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Utah. She was born on July 2, 1926 in Fremont, Wayne County, Utah, daughter of Floyd Pratt and Ethel Sorensen Taylor.  She married Max Adelbert Gardner on August 8, 1945 in Lyman, Utah. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 12 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Payson LDS 2nd Ward, 274 South Main Street, Payson, Utah with a viewing from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 20, 1951. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 12 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Payson LDS 2nd Ward, 274 South Main Street, Payson, Utah with a viewing from 9:45 – 10:45 a.m.

GORDON TAYLOR

Gordon Sterling Taylor, 86, of  Payson, Utah,  passed  away Friday, January    8, 2016.  He was born    November 17,    1929, in Payson, Utah, to Sterling and Lucille    Taylor. After graduating from    Payson High School, Gordon graduated from    Brigham Young University and then attended and graduated from Northwestern University    in  Dentistry. He married Karen Christiansen    December 18, 1953  in the Manti Temple. They shared over 50 wonderful    years together    serving    their family, church, and the community of Payson. A viewing will    be held in his honor on Friday    January 15th at  the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, UT.  The viewing    will be from 6-8 PM.  Funeral    services will be held  Saturday, January 16    at 11 o’clock at  280 South Main Street, Payson, UT.
