Roger Grant Hanna
Roger Grant Hanna 68, passed away Saturday October 29, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Grant and Darthella Butler Hanna. He was raised in Goshen, Utah, by Darthella and Kay Cook, attending school in Goshen and Payson.
He served in the 101st Airborne Division during the Vietnam War receiving many medals, including two Purple Hearts. He earned his BS in Business at SUSC in Cedar City, Utah.
He owned Pollman Carpets and RG Hanna Flooring Company in Southern California. He was a member of the Jaycees. He played and coached soccer for several years.
Survivors include his Wife, Marita Loy Pollman of 43 years, Cypress, California; His Children, Levi (Ria) Hanna, Cypress, California; Aaron (Valerie) Hanna Buena Park, California; 3 Grandchildren, Corey, Leah & Ryan Hanna. Sisters Sharon (Ron) Hurst, Spring Lake, Utah; Donna Lance (Larry) & Sarah Mckowen of Goshen, Utah; Step Sister Kayleen (Buck) Peak, Boise , Idaho; Sisters-in-Law Patricia Pollman & Linda Ferrera of California and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and step brother Paul Cook.
A celebration of his life was held in Cypress, California and a graveside service will be held at the Goshen Cemetery 1000 South Center on November 19, 2016, at 1 p.m. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion post #123.
