Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

Forthcoming funeral services are planned for the following friends from our community. Complete versions of these obituaries may also be found in The Payson Chronicle.

BETH HALL

Beth Esther Swenson Hall was born September 2, 1923 to Swedish immigrants Dan Arthur and Margret Hellberg Swenson.  She passed away Thursday March 15, 2018 at age 94.

Beth married her sweetheart, Jay Markham Hall, on Dec. 20, 1945 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had 59 wonderful years together before Jay passed away in 2004. Through Jay’s employment with USU they lived in Shiraz, Iran, and Loa, Fillmore, Brigham City, and Price, Utah and retired to Payson in 1981. Together they served two LDS missions in St. Louis, MO and Boston, MA. They served as ordinance workers in the Provo Temple for over 20 years. The most important things in Beth’s life were her faith and her family.

She is survived by 1 sister, Margaret Woodbury, Provo, UT and 7 children: Dan (Kathy), Pleasanton, CA; Kent (Janie), Payson, UT; Robert (Corin), Vineyard, UT; Mary Ann (Lloyd) Marchant, Madison, MO; Patty (Arlen) Tanner, Lee’s Summit, MO; Chell (Cindy) Winegar, Carlin, NV; Tammy (Tracy) Larsen, Lee’s Summit, MO. She has 44 grandchildren and 70 greatgrandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 24, 2018, 11:00 a.m in the Page LDS Ward Chapel, 711 S. 600 E. Payson. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing at the church, Friday 6-8:00 PM or Saturday 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
