Mourning the Passing of Friends: Forthcoming Funeral Services

Forthcoming funeral services are planned for the following friends from our community. Complete versions of these obituaries may also be found in The Payson Chronicle.
Rose Jessie Collins

Rose Jessie Collins, of Payson, Utah passed away on February 8, 2018 in her home. Rose was born on September 30, 1930 in London, England to Daniel Thomas and Elenor Hammond Burgess.  She had a general education.
On March 4, 1949 she married James John Collins in London, England. Together they had Stephanie Taylor. James passed away in February of 1993.
Rose worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years. She also worked as a cashier at Tesco for 6 years. She was a member of the local housing committee and volunteer for the Royal National Life Boat Institute.
Rose loved reading, gardening, and enjoyed listening to classical music.
Rose is survived by her daughter Stephanie Taylor (Harry),  grandchildren; David Scott Taylor (Jennifer), Matthew Stephen Taylor (Sylvia),Jacqueline Dawn Genung (Mark), great grandchildren; Sophie Letterman (Randy), Mitchell Slagowski, Jaime Slagowski Genung, Emma Louise Campbell Taylor, and Shannon Jane Taylor. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Burgess, sister in law Vera Burgess, nephews John and Geoffrey Burgess, Derek and Brian Marks and niece Angela Krzyzanowska.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Elenor Mary Marks, Jean Elizabeh Flint, brother William George Burgess, and granddaughter Ruth Taylor.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Spring Lake 4th Ward Chapel, 586 West 1750 South, Payson, Utah.
