The Valentine's holiday is meant for love. And, in the case of the Payson Lions Club, love for excellent music. The latter was fulfilled for club members at their February 8 Valentine’s Party with a special live performance by local musician Jesse Thurgood (pictured here). With his acoustic guitar and polished vocal cords, the revered entertainer serenaded the group while they dined in the Daniels Room decked out in homage to Cupid at the Peteetneet Museum and Cultural Arts Center in Payson. Mr Thurgood performed pleasing tunes, including a few that he has penned as an accomplished recording artist.
